Heat Pumps

Carrier Heat PumpMany people are familar with traditional heat pumps. Traditional heat pumps are central air conditioners that can also heat your whole home. Paired with a gas furnace, they can use less energy and provide extra heating options.

Lennox Heat PumpDuring the summer months, a heat pump acts as an air conditioner, moving heat from inside your home to the outdoors. When the weather is cooler, it does the opposite, taking heat from outside and moving it inside. Remember, the higher the SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) and HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) ratings of a cooling system, the less money it will cost to operate.

GeothermalAnother type of heat pump is geothermal. Geothermal heat pumps tap into the earth's surface to use the energy and relatively consistent heat found in soil or surface water as a heat source–instead of using outside air like traditional heat pumps. Geothermal heat pumps provide both cooling and heating to your home, and are able to maintain the highest efficiency on even the coldest winter nights.

Contact Ron’s Mechanical to learn about traditional and geothermal heat pumps. We'll help you understand the energy use, cost, and environmental impacts of traditional and geothermal heat pumps available for your home.

I felt compelled to write a short letter thanking you because on the three occasions I have dealt with Ron's Mechanical (heating, air work, and basement finishing), the service has been excellent...(it) seemed as though I was one of your most important customers.

I appreciate you taking the time to investigate the warranty details of our heat exchanger and writing up the service orders as required to take full advantage of our Xcel repair plan. We also appreciate you scheduling us for a Saturday service call in order to get the repair done before our Super Bowl party.
